Dallas, TX

In the heart of Dallas is the beloved area of East Dallas, where for a few miles, you feel as though you live in a small town. The community is filled with an eclectic group of artists, musicians, business people, health enthusiasts, and the galore who love to live LOCAL and enjoy the beautiful nature it has to offer.  In the center of it all is the beloved White Rock Lake which is a respite and oasis for the neighborhood. Allof these unique characteristics give it  the famous, #eastdallasisthebestdallas. Allie & Jason’s story began on the fields of East Dallas, not the romantic, wildflower fields of White Rock Lake, but the Gaelic football fields! As East Dallas residents, their love story was beautifully reflected throughout their wedding day. With their many out-of-town guests, they desired them to experience all the local feels of the community.  The Filter Building on White Rock Lake was the perfect location for their fall, Dallas waterfront ceremony. Their love of music was seen throughout the day beginning with the guests being serenaded by friends who performed a Capella Opera. In planning their wedding, Allie & Jason really wanted to support the local businesses and try to remain as mindful as they could for their footprint, knowing the amount of waste that can take place in a wedding. Keeping this in mind, we created & designed potted plant centerpieces to be a gift for the guests at the end of the night. The terracotta vases and fall flowers accented the true autumn palette. Their love for Gaelic football was seen throughout the design elements as well. With care and attention to detail, Allie & Jason thoughtfully created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for their guests. Instead of table numbers, they created names for the groups of friends and family for each table seating. Along with this small detail, they planned their catering menu with such care for their guests and desired for them to experience a little of Texas as well with the nacho apps and brisket station. Their favorite local bakery, Leila Bakery, was a must for their fall-inspired wedding cake and contributed to the traditional Pittsburgh cookie table as well. After dancing the afternoon away, the bride and groom had an amazing surprise awaiting their guests as they gathered their potted plants and custom handkerchiefs for their second-line processional exit. One of the main stage performers of the State Fair of Texas, Unfaded Brass Band, a 10-piece brass ensemble, led the guests on their one mile, second-line procession, to the nearby White Rock Alehouse & Brewery for their after-party. The guests, and all the customers at the Brewery, enjoyed the beautiful, fall weather on the patio under the stars where they partied the night away to the sounds of the brass horns.
