Everyone loves to be enthralled by the renowned TLC show, “Say Yes to the Dress,” which has led to all the famous signs at every wedding dress store.
Once a bride says, YES, on engagement day, their first stop is one of the local wedding dress shops, where after several tries, they enthusiastically say YES to the dress.
However, many tend to hold off to say YES to the planner. What holds them back from choosing an expert to guide them along the way of the unforeseen wedding planning journey? Here are a few reasons why many may not choose a wedding planner, and why they need to be the number one vendor they select for their special day!

Many desire to save money in their budget and decide to plan the wedding on their own. You also have to account for your 10-piece band’s hot meals, a stage with stage facade, parking, and sometimes a fee is required for the correct electricity at the venue. This only accounts for one vendor category. There are many unforeseen additional items that a wedding planner can help you navigate from the start of your planning. Saying YES to the planner will actually save you money in your budget!

“Why hire a wedding planner when I can handle it all?” Can you really handle it all or will it be given to a loved one to manage on your wedding day? A dear friend of mine, who was the Mother-of-the-Bride for her precious daughter’s wedding, painstakingly regrets not hiring a wedding planner to manage the day. She was the one running around refilling the lemonade as the children guzzled it down a gallon per second. She was the one fixing the bride’s dress. She was the one instructing all the vendors with their million questions, and she was the one missing out on the one moment she had with her daughter on her wedding day. If you believe you can handle it all, the true reality is someone you love could be forced to handle it. Saying YES to the planner allows those you love, and yourself, to be present in the moment, a moment that only comes once!
Number 3 Reason: They think it will be fun
True, planning a wedding is so much fun: all the details, all the pretties, all your dreams coming true!! However, with a planner as your advocate in the planning process, you will remove many of the unexpected distresses. This allows you to enjoy the process even more. As mentioned before, the many details leading up to the wedding and on wedding day can outweigh the fun of planning your own wedding and rob you of the joyful experience. Along the planning journey, you do hit many bumps along the way in regards to family dynamics, vendor issues, or wedding party drama.
